It seems like there's always something new to look at especially in springtime. For Annie Dugan, that 'something new' was artwork by Duluth artist Claire Sahara. Dugan describes Sahara's work as "wonderfully soft, gentle human beings and plants interacting with each other and enjoying the natural world." Dugan discovered Sahara's work at the Duluth Folk School where Sahara has postcards for sale.
AICHO Gallery also has something new. The gallery will open the Birchbark and Cattails exhibit on May 19th from 5:30-7:30pm. Artists Kent Estey and Ramona Morrow will have their paintings and fiber work (respectively) on display. Most notable about the event is that Estey's works will be visible outside of the gallery going up Central Entrance. "How wonderful to be able to see these incredible artists," says Dugan of the works being displayed digitally on billboards.
Additionally, this Thursday at the Duluth Grill is the unveiling of a ceramic piece by Lucas Anderson. The event includes free food and music. You can learn more by listening to our Community Connection segment highlighting the event.
