This week in art...
Artist Natalie Salminen Rude and Jordan Sundberg of Tin Cup designs have teamed up to create eighty prints for the new OBGYN branch at St. Luke’s in Duluth. “It’s absolutely stunning seeing the space come together,” says Annie Dugan. “And to come together through art.” Dugan went on to talk about the connectivity between art and health. The project was a community effort through and through. “I love that St. Luke’s decided to support local art.”
Waiting for beds by Moira Villiard and Carla Hamilton is a traveling exhibit that's making its first stop at Prove Gallery on Lake Ave in Downtown Duluth. The exhibit confronts the lack of resources that people sometimes feel when help is needed. “It’s become far too common,” says Dugan regarding the wait that people in mental health crises are met with. Exhibit hours are listed on the Prove website.
